Is Women Revealed A Cult? - What you need to know
Women Revealed was founded in 2007 by 3 women whose goal was to provide a safe haven for women to “retreat” and authentically connect with their inner selves and find answers to patterns of pain, anxiety, relational distress and the many other stresses and strains of life.
Though the Women Revealed community leverages Christian teachings, it is not intended to be a “religious experience”. The organization is not associated with any church organization, and is inclusive of any woman, whether she has a faith background or not.
At the weekend…
Every woman comes to a Women Revealed weekend with some sort of pain from her past. For some women this pain is better described as devastating trauma. It takes tremendous courage to face down this pain. 48 hours during a weekend is a very short period of time, and there are non-coercive techniques that are engaged to help a woman to connect quickly and deeply with herself - equipping her to look at and address those things that have caused her pain.
Sometimes a woman is simply not ready to face her biggest fears, and this is understandable. Our trained facilitators will always try and work with these women to make them feel comfortable. However, it is inevitable that some women will chose to leave a weekend before they have experienced the comfort and healing that the weekend has to offer.
While every woman is encouraged to participate, no women is ever forced into any element of the weekend. After registration, staff members will make multiple attempts to connect with every woman prior to her weekend experience.
What about the things my friend wouldn’t tell me about?
A woman who has concerns after hearing about the experience of another woman is mistaking secrecy with confidentiality. Gossip is a rampant and unfortunate reality in the lives of most women. And so the community holds, in highest regard, the confidentiality of every woman’s story. At the end of every weekend, each woman is encouraged to share her own story and what she learned about herself at the weekend with whomever she likes. We also ask that she does not share the intricate details of the weekend because it would spoil another woman’s future experience if she chose to attend herself.
